According to Abdul Osama (عبدول أسامة), you can upload a photo of handwritten notes or enter text in Gemini, then ask it to prepare the content for Documents or put numbers into a spreadsheet. Gemini is Google’s AI assistant; Documents is an app for working with documents, and Sheet is an app for spreadsheets. The update he describes is meant to replace a manual copy-and-paste step.
“You can now upload photos of handwritten pages or any text.” — Abdul Osama
How to try it
- Upload a photo of your page, or provide the text, in Gemini.
- Ask it to prepare the content, including as a PDF if that is the format you need. A PDF is a file format commonly used to preserve a document’s layout when sharing it.
- Specify where the result should go: Documents for written content, or a spreadsheet for numbers. Abdul calls the latter an “Excel Sheet,” but the clip does not establish the resulting file format.
Abdul also mentions Slides, a presentation app, while describing the old workflow of copying output from Gemini into Slides, Documents or Sheet. He does not demonstrate separate steps for creating a presentation.
“It can connect directly, so you don’t have to make it in Gemini and then copy it yourself.” — Abdul Osama
What to do next
Try a prompt with a page or text you already have. State whether you want a document, a PDF or a spreadsheet of numbers, and check the extracted text and figures before using the result.
